Amazing.

So I'm blaming my divided attention at work today on this:

Seriously. I think I watched it like three or four times the whole day. :))

On Sharing.

You see, this is one of the reasons why I am driven to write. Even if not on a daily basis anymore.

We belong to the sleep-deprived, nicotine-inhaling, cab-riding new breed of Filipino youth. We infuse our anemic, caffeinated veins with ferrous sulfate everyday so we won't be NCNS (no call, no show) for our next shift. "Ginagawa naming araw ang gabi." [We make the night our day.]

Click on the link to read the rest of the entry. It was written by some call center agent (pretty much older than I am since she already has a kid who goes to school and her headache has the need for much more professional opinion, a.k.a. EEG and MRI's) with definitely a lot of angst and emotion about her work. (I wonder how much venting I can do if I pour out my heart after my event...)

Anyhoo, speaking of blogging, writing and ranting, I received an email from Nuffnang that comes with an exclusive invite. (Ahhh. The perks of being a glitterati member. Priority invites!)

I'm actually contemplating right now whether I'd be attending this one or not. (Boni High Street is pretty far from Alabang, you know.) But the miCoach is really tempting me. I'll be thinking about it til this afternoon. I know Glitterati members are allowed to bring one guest with them. Let's see if I can have someone tag along. Then I'll decide if I'll RSVP. :-P

Speaking of emails, I got another good news. Apparently, having 1000 Facebook friends comes with perks. Eastwood City had this contest thing last month wherein you just have to invite your friends to join their group, and the top five who can invite the most number of friends wins ten movie passes to Eastwood City's cinemas. Isn't that sweet? So basically, I won. Haha! :-) I'm just waiting for my cousin to claim the passes in my behalf, and then it's movie time.

Anyone wants to watch movies with me? :-)

There Is A Place...

...like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger! Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter...

...Which luckily I am.

So it was a Saturday night, and I got to go out with my cousins! (Finally!) And we watched Alice. :-D

Basically I think it was not really a movie meant for kids, because it has somewhat deviated from the fairy tale version. Alice, who is now nineteen, returns to Wonderland, which, apparently, at her age, she believes does not really exist. (Oh yeah, we watched it in the normal theater. Which may be one of the reasons why I find this not-so-kid-friendly.) Anyway, what really made me excited about this movie is Tom Burton. Really. Fine, Johnny Depp made me excited. Haha!

With that said, I tell you, this version is not for those looking for glitzy and fun kiddie movie. (Come on, a nineteen year-old protagonist frolicking in a land where animals talk, cats smile, and food that can either make you grow big or shrink you to almost nothing?) I think I appreciated the movie because it's for the lost twenty-somethings a.k.a. those having a quarter-life crisis. Seriously. ;-)

Alice: But this is impossible.
Mad Hatter: Only if you believe it to be.

And perhaps, it is the twisted and un-prince-charming aura of the Mad Hatter that throws this movie off the fairy tale list. Princes are supposed to be really hot, neat and well-groomed, and above all, charming. Not dirty, mad and sarcastic. (But in the back of my mind, he's still hot. It's Johnny Depp, for crying out loud!!!)

In all fairness, Burton gave justice to the well-loved fairy tale. Wonderland is, well, really a wonder land, considering it's from the creative mind of this filmmaker. Now I'm beginning to wonder what it looked like on 3D. Hmmm. Could be better but then again, the 3D version wouldn't probably have the twist I was looking for in the regular film. And that, that twist, might give the happily-ever-after ending we all look forward to a bigger BANG!

I will miss you when I wake up. (Now, where is my Mad Hatter?)

Hooray for March!

So it was a holiday. For Muntinlupa, anyway. But unfortunately, I have to go to work. Duty calls. ;-)

What a good, good day at work. :-D

Sponsorship proposals are flying, and a lot of clients are considering joining the event. Woot woot! :-D I can definitely the success of the job fair as early as today. *Oh please, oh please, Superfriend, that would be a nice birthday present this year. ;-)*

This is really getting me excited. I know we can do this. Wheee! :-D Baby steps! Last month I think we have a handful of premium clients and IBM wants to sponsor. This month, Jobstreet.com finally said yes! Woot woot! No to retrenchment, yes to more jobs for the Filipinos! :-D

*Insert happy plugging jingle here.*

On April 13 & 14, 2010, temperatures will rise as waves of eager jobseekers will head to the SM Megatrade Hall 3 in search of the hottest jobs and their dream careers at Viva Event's Angat Pinoy Job Fair. The two-day career fair will feature companies in the metro offering jobs for Pinoy expats, young professionals and first time applicants.

For inquiries, you can call 809 3119, 668 7787, 809 8707 or 403 3094.

Anyhoo. Obviously, the building caf is closed for the day. So I have to find another place to get good food. I was craving for overly greasy and heart-stopping food so I called McDonald's and asked if they would take my order for both breakfast and regular menu. Unfortunately, they won't allow it as it would overlap things. My heart sank. So I moved on to Kenny Rogers, which at that moment, has a broken delivery hotline. *And at that point, I was waaaay too hungry to choose decent food. So we settled for Shakey's.

Thank God for pizza. And my collection of loyalty cards. Who knew I have one of those pizza card things? Anyway, the Shakey's pizzanatic card basically works like Pizza Hut's. Buy one pizza, add a 1.5L bottle of soda, and you get either a Pepperoni or Hawaiian flavored pizza of the same size. (And just about right now I realize that Shakey's sell Coke, not Pepsi. Pepsi's for Pizza Hut. Haha!)

Anyway, I got two large pizzas for the day. Which would be my breakfast, lunch and perhaps light dinner. So basically from 11:15 in the morning til about 5:15pm, I was eating pizza. (I shared, and it still wasn't consumed!)

I think I got tired of it, I gave away the last two slices to Ms. JC. Oh well. At least I finally satisfied my pizza craving. But there's this pizza flavor I wanna try soon. Something from TOSH. Anyway, that goes in a different entry.

For now, I have to think of ways to liven up the remaining 305 days of the year. Come on 2010, make it count! ;-)

Beep, Beep. Excuse Me.

So that little YM thingy on the lower-right portion of my monitor? Very useful. I think I <3 it too.

In the midst of following up clients and thinking where to get new ones, a little window popped up and said hello to me. I have new mail. (Not that it's shocking, my Facebook notifications show up once in awhile.)

And the mail is a notification (again, from Facebook) that Cobra Starship will be here. In Alabang. Whee! Yay! Woooooot! :-D

I'm so gonna mark that on my planner. ;-)
