Not so long ago, I was a movie buff.
From mainstream to indie films, I have watched movies which people would never think I would watch. Like for example, a Spanish comedy-drama with an R rating. (I think that was over sharing.)
Just like writing, I came to a point that I was either lazy or too busy to go watch a movie. I swear I suck at movies now. Recalling 2010, I have only seen one movie in the movie house. (And no, I wasn't even able to watch new movies in pirated DVDs or even downloaded from the internet.) Just one new movie for 2010. How pathetic could I be?
I don't really know why. Maybe I got tired of the same plots. Maybe I was waiting for it to come out on cable or local tv. Maybe I just don't have time to watch movies anymore. It's sad, really.
Tonight, thank you cable TV, I am on my 4th movie. Apparently, the first three are Tagalog movies. The current one is a horror/thriller I am not really fond of. Wala lang, sayang naman binayad sa cable, papanoorin ko na lang.
Four movies in a row is another first for me for 2011. Even if it is on cable. For the past month, my TV time was spent on series, news, MTV, and prolly cartoons. Since none of my favorite shows are airing today, and I am just sick of watching Glee over and over again, I sat down to watch a movie. (Actually I was planning on watching Black Swan but I still can't get around to doing it.)
I have suggested movies for other people to watch. I have made plans to watch certain movies with some people. But I still haven't gone to watching movies. So tonight, aside from rebuilding my music library, I am going to raid Alabang to buy DVDs of movies. (And no, downloading isn't an option for me. I don't have that much patience to wait for a file to download and that would just kill the internet I am sharing with two other users.)
I need movie suggestions. I don't care if they're too cheesy, too scary, to boring or just plain baduy, but I really want to watch movies. A lot of movies. So come on, suggest whatever movie out there should I buy first.

On Killing Time.
So, for the first time, I was too preoccupied with my life this morning that I packed everything in my handy-dandy bag but left behind my phone.
Yes, my current baby, Blackie the BB Curve 8520, was accidentally left at home.
Torture, it was, but I survived the day without him by my side. Although there's the occasional reach for the bag to "check" on the phone, I had to keep myself busy to forget about it. And I pretty much found quite a few things to keep it off my mind.
To my amusement, I can't remember how human beings survived boredom without technology. With no laptops, iPods, mobile phones, how did we kill time in the past? I remember killing time playing all the long but how did adults deal with it? Seriously, I would die of boredom if I lived fifty years ago.
Or probably not. If I can always pull off the same thing I did today. I just have to be creative. And I need to be talking. Constantly. :))
I currently am arguing with myself how productive I am today. Or not. It's probably me looking for things to do that pushed me to be productive. Or maybe I really just have a lot of things to do.
Either way, I didn't get bored today.

Blog Designer.
I love customization.
It just adheres to my lifelong relationship with uniqueness.
I used to customize my Multiply to my own liking when I was still in love with that account. I even went as far as trying to learn html and css language to get the "look" that I want. Honestly, it was fun. At least, whenever I end up getting the perfect look.
I wanted to do the same thing here. Redesign and make it look a bit more like me. It's just that I don't have time. And I am so lost and confused lately, I don't know how to make it look like me.
And besides, time is a luxury for me now. I have no idea where to begin learning again stuff related to customization. And even if Google made it a bit easier with their Design section, I still can't figure it out.
So please, if there's still any reader here who's got time, artsy-fartsy skills, and a lot of patience, drop by a line and help me out here please. =)

On Sharing.
You see, this is one of the reasons why I am driven to write. Even if not on a daily basis anymore.
Click on the link to read the rest of the entry. It was written by some call center agent (pretty much older than I am since she already has a kid who goes to school and her headache has the need for much more professional opinion, a.k.a. EEG and MRI's) with definitely a lot of angst and emotion about her work. (I wonder how much venting I can do if I pour out my heart after my event...)
Anyhoo, speaking of blogging, writing and ranting, I received an email from Nuffnang that comes with an exclusive invite. (Ahhh. The perks of being a glitterati member. Priority invites!)
I'm actually contemplating right now whether I'd be attending this one or not. (Boni High Street is pretty far from Alabang, you know.) But the miCoach is really tempting me. I'll be thinking about it til this afternoon. I know Glitterati members are allowed to bring one guest with them. Let's see if I can have someone tag along. Then I'll decide if I'll RSVP. :-P
Speaking of emails, I got another good news. Apparently, having 1000 Facebook friends comes with perks. Eastwood City had this contest thing last month wherein you just have to invite your friends to join their group, and the top five who can invite the most number of friends wins ten movie passes to Eastwood City's cinemas. Isn't that sweet? So basically, I won. Haha! :-) I'm just waiting for my cousin to claim the passes in my behalf, and then it's movie time.
Anyone wants to watch movies with me? :-)
We belong to the sleep-deprived, nicotine-inhaling, cab-riding new breed of Filipino youth. We infuse our anemic, caffeinated veins with ferrous sulfate everyday so we won't be NCNS (no call, no show) for our next shift. "Ginagawa naming araw ang gabi." [We make the night our day.]

Of Domain Hunting, Blog Consolidation and What-nots.
Oh-kay.
I've been lurking around i.ph for quite some time now and I am seriously considering it. Not that I'm bored here or in Tabulas or Multiply or with all my other accounts but I think i.ph is much more organized to me. Or maybe the blogs I view there.
I don't really give crap about domains and web hosting but I think it would be cool to have a really really short domain name (me.i.ph is probably lame right now, but i.ph makes everything really easy to remember.) I actually considered getting my own domain name months ago but with the rate of my writer's block going up combined with my stress level continuously getting out of control, I don't think I'm ready to shell out that much for my own domain name and host my own blogsite. So I'm considering i.ph.
Any advice, comment, opinion, or even violent reaction is appreciated. I'll be needing all the help I can get, if I want to keep considering my writing as a career. ;-)
